Commonwealth Corps members with CitySprouts will serve 10.5 months in a full-time capacity. What they have in common is a desire to put their talents and ideas to use in the service of their communities and the Commonwealth.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">CitySprouts\u2019 mission is to develop, implement &amp; maintain beautiful, resource-rich school gardens in collaboration with public school communities. Integrated into curriculum, our gardens inspire teachers, students &amp; families with a deep, hands-on connection to the food cycle, sustainable agriculture &amp; the natural environment. CitySprouts will host 2 full-time Commonwealth Corps members who will serve as Middle School Coordinators, leading Out-of- School Time (OST) &amp; in-school programs in Cambridge &amp; Boston and reaching 175 students. Through their service, members will be lead educators for our Middle School pilot at 6 schools and they will develop &amp; implement family engagement plans with partner schools. In addition, they will leverage the work of 250 volunteers throughout our network of 23 partner schools who will engage in garden education and building projects.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><em>Responsibilities:<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><em>Essential<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\">\u2022 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\">Complete a minimum of 1,500 hours of service, serving through June 24, 2017.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\">\u2022 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\">Attend all required Commonwealth Corps trainings and service events held by <\/span><\/span><\/span>MSA (minimum of 6 total) and CitySprouts, including a new member orientation on August 15 &amp; 16, 2016.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\">\u2022 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\">Participate in a minimum of 1 hour of MSA-related activities each week (in <\/span><\/span><\/span>person or virtually).<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\">\u2022 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\">Participate in CitySprouts regular Staff and Program Team meetings, as well <\/span><\/span><\/span>as Supervisor 1:1 meetings.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\">\u2022 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\">Serve as lead educators for our Middle School pilot at 6 schools in Boston <\/span><\/span><\/span>&amp; Cambridge by developing curricula, facilitating lesson plans and performing weekly evaluations.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\">\u2022 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\">Develop &amp; implement family engagement plans with select partner <\/span><\/span><\/span>schools and create a model framework for CitySprouts to use organization-wide.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\">\u2022 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\">Facilitate and lead volunteers in garden education and building projects.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><em>Qualifications:<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><em>Required<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\">\u2022 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\">Massachusetts residency and legal authorization to work in the United States<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\">\u2022 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT\">18 years of age or older<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\">\u2022 <\/span><span
