Our recruitment efforts will be in full swing next week. In the meantime, I wanted to give a quick update on what we have planned for 2017.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017 we need to defend the progress we&#8217;ve made and stay focused on what America can do and must do for the public interest. You\u2019ll help us recruit a team of staff that will work to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep chemicals linked to cancer out of our rivers, food and bodies by banning Monsanto&#8217;s Roundup unless it&#8217;s proven safe.<\/li>\n<li>Keep a &#8220;consumer cop on the financial beat,&#8221; despite the protests of Wall Street lobbyists.<\/li>\n<li>Keep big donors from gaining even more influence over our elections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks, as always, for making all of this vital work possible by helping to staff our team next year!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. PIRG fellowship.
