IT solutions are essential to maintaining and improving environmental health in Maine. This Environmental Specialist works closely with staff throughout the Air Bureau and the Department to ensure and improve the efficiency of agency processes. This position collaborates with staff in licensing, monitoring, inspections, enforcement, finance, and many other programs. This position is tasked with recognizing emerging needs and identifying opportunities in the Air Bureau where IT solutions can provide value. Based on recommendations from the agency\u2019s Business Analyst and in accordance with Office of Information Technology policy, this position brings data management advice and IT initiatives to the Air Bureau and the Department. This position communicates with all levels of staff to ensure the quality of environmental data. The ability to analyze large data sets and implement best practices regarding data management is a critical function of this position. The position reports to the Department\u2019s Business Analyst in the Division of Resource Administration.
