The Bowdoin Theatre and Dance Department and\u00a0Masque &amp; Gown are\u00a0partnering with the Environmental Studies Program and\u00a0Bowdoin Climate Action to be a part of a national theatre festival (CCAT)\u00a0that presents short plays\u00a0and one acts concerning climate change and\u00a0climate\u00a0science.<\/p>\n<p>The CCAT festival is an annual theatre festival that takes place globally; Bowdoin is one of many institutions involved. Our intention in joining the CCAT is to bring environmentally-minded theatre to Bowdoin, and we want students from both theatre and ES to be involved in both the staging and performance of these plays.The performance takes place on November 5th, and we are in need of actors and directors. Although directors will need to have had some experience directing productions prior to the CCAT, actors of all levels of experience (including none) are welcome!<\/p>\n<p>\u200bIn addition, we are in need of people who are familiar with issues related to climate change to serve as our dramaturges\u2013 that is,\u00a0construct short blurbs for the plays that provide background information on the issues tackled within the plays.
