This dynamic position trains naturalists in communicating the local botany, geology and history of the area. The main responsibility of the naturalist position is to lead guided hikes in the stunning Elk Mountains. Naturalists also manage the nature preserve in town, working with birds of prey, gardening, speaker series, and teach environmental education to children at the center.\u00a0 One of the best parts about this job, besides getting to work outdoors and do work that matters, is the great community of recent college graduates from around the country working as naturalists.
