In this internship, students will learn many aspects of the day-to-day operations of the office, including warning operations and forecast creation. In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in office research and outreach.\u00a0 This will give students the opportunity to determine whether a career\u00a0 with the National Weather Service may be right for them.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Length of Internship: <\/u><\/strong>Averages two to three days per week (~10-20 hours) starting in the second half of May and continuing through early August.\u00a0 This is an <strong><em>unpaid <\/em><\/strong>internship.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Eligibility: <\/u><\/strong><strong><em>At least <\/em><\/strong>a half-time student pursuing a degree in meteorology or atmospheric science that has (by this summer) <strong><em>completed their sophomore or junior year<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What we need from you: <\/u><\/strong>A <strong><em>cover letter <\/em><\/strong>stating your interest in the internship and why we should select you. In addition, please send your <strong><em>resume <\/em><\/strong>that includes the coursework you have completed and any related experience.
