NEH-Sponsored Project to Boost Multilingual Pride in Children

Project Director Prof. Margaret Boyle will co-lead a new summer institute focused on investigating the use of picture books to enhance the development of multilingualism, social belonging, identity formation, and community-making in early elementary curricula. The project, called “Identity and Multilingualism through Picture Books,” is being funded by a $175,000 grant from the National Endowment for Humanities.
