The application process for the 2017 Switzer Environmental Fellowships is now open. Switzer Fellowships are given to top graduate students in New England and California who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential, and who are committed to a career in environmental improvement. The deadline for applications is January 9, 2017.
The fellowship provides:
– a one-year $15,000 cash award;
-access to other Switzer grant program and long-term career support, and
-membership in the Switzer Fellowship Network, an active and engaged community of nearly 600 environmental leaders in the U.S. and around the world.
Switzer Fellows are recognized environmental leaders working in the non-profit, public policy, academic and business communities. We invite you to check the News and Issues pages of our website to see the breadth of issues and caliber of work that our Fellows are doing!
This year we are particularly interested in seeing more applications from students of color and traditionally underrepresented groups, and those whose work encompasses an environmental justice or equity component. We are also interested in increasing the number of master’s-level students who apply for the Fellowship. Please refer to the Fellowships guidelines on the website:
