Internship Opportunitity: Environmental Education Intern

Shelby Farms Park and Greenline are managed and operated by the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization Shelby Farms Park Conservancy. Our vision is to give rise to a celebrated 21st century park that defines and shapes a great city.

Brief position summary: The Environmental Education Intern will assist in developing curricula using Project WET, Project WILD, and Project Learning Tree teaching supplements as guides. In addition, the intern will help enhance field trip curricula using Tennessee Common Core Standards. Minimum of 15 hours per week

Responsibilities:
· Work alongside camp counselors and Interpretive Docent team to develop a working education program
· Assist in implementing curricula for camp and field trips throughout internship
· Procure supplies and materials as needed to conduct lessons
· Create a fun and engaging environment for educational program participants
· Include Common Core Standards with each activity to prepare a well-rounded educational program for each specific age group
