Fundraising and Development Instership
This internship position will provide someone with substantial experience in nonprofit development and management, grant writing, events planning, researching donor prospects, solicitation strategizing, in addition to gaining valuable office experience.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following. Each intern will be encouraged to take a leadership role in spearheading their own project within the objectives of the development department, depending on one’s experience and hours of availability.

Marketing and Communications Internship
The Marketing Intern will be responsible for assisting the organization in the development and implementation of its marketing, business development, and public relations plans. This will be accomplished through developing, maintaining and expanding marketing channels to the public at large.
This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for a community based nonprofit organization, in addition to gaining valuable office experience.

Education Intern
Education Intern: Spend the summer in a beautiful remote fishing community in eastern Maine and gain hands-on experience in a fisheries education center on the waterfront. This internship provides the opportunity to hone your skills in fisheries management, public engagement, and conveying complex scientific and regulatory information to the public. Our fisheries education center generates a lot of foot traffic from tourists as well as local visitors and children stopping in to see the creatures in our live touch tank. As the point person in the education center, you will have the opportunity to engage visitors with the wonders of the Gulf of Maine ecosystem while conveying important information to help them understand the complexities of today’s commercial fishing industry.
