VEGGIES FOR ALL, Field Crew Member (PART-TIME/SEASONAL)

Veggies For All (VFA) is a 2.5 acre food bank farm in Unity, Maine that addresses hunger in our community through sustainable food production, gleaning, and hands-on education. We raise about 20,000 lbs of organically grown vegetables for 1,500 food pantry clients in 25 towns across Central Maine each season. This summer will be our 10th season, and we’re excited to welcome two seasonal field crew members to help us keep up the good work!

Our summer field crew is the backbone of the farm. Field crew work closely with VFA’s Program Manager, Crew Leader, and volunteers to help with all aspects of our small-scale, mission-driven, production-oriented vegetable operation including seedling care, planting, weeding, harvesting, washing, packing, and delivery.

Field crew positions are geared toward folks who have had at least one previous season of experience on a small-scale, sustainably managed vegetable farm, community garden, or large market garden and want to continue developing their farming practice. We’re eager to work with aspiring food producers who have positive attitudes, enjoy working outdoors, and share our passion for improving food access through community-powered farming.
