Experiments in Virtual Environments

The EVE project is a large project that seeks to incorporate an existing analytic framework into both current and future ETL environments. EVE, or Experiments in Virtual Environments, provides a standardized framework for collecting and storing diverse and precise data including elapsed time, exact position, exact rotation, and completion of tasks. It builds considerably upon the principles set forth in the Tracking Demo, standardizing and significantly expanding the data collection process for every one of our environments. Successful implementation of EVE will also facilitate data sharing and collaboration between the ETL and other research labs, such as UMaine’s VEMI Lab and Colby’s INSITE Lab, which is an ongoing goal of the ETL. The EVE framework is adapted from the work of ETH Zürich.
