The Tightrope Demo situates subjects on the edge of a skyscraper, with only a thin beam to traverse the gap in front of them. It highlights humans’ overwhelming reliance on vision as they take in the environment around them, as well as the highly realistic level of immersion offered by VR. It is also being used for research into full body tracking.
