The Spatial Language Demo is based on research in spatial cognition that explores natural-language positional descriptions and how underspecified spatial terms can prompt a wide variety of interpretations. Subjects are placed in a realistic virtual room and prompted to move objects according to purposefully vague specifications. The demo features immersive interaction with virtual objects and demonstrates the wide variety of interpretations possible in response to imprecise spatial prompts.
