Matthew Donnelly ‘22 created the Emerging Technologies Lab in the summer of 2019 under a Gibbons Research Fellowship, making it Bowdoin’s first virtual reality research lab. Since then, he has led lab research efforts as the student lab director, created numerous virtual environments and demonstrations, and helped new lab members learn the skills needed for VR research and development.
