Elevating Expertise of the Lab
Fall 2019 was an important growth semester for the lab, focusing on elevating the general expertise of the lab and preparing the team to take on real, larger scale cooperative research projects in the semester to come.
Also exciting was the first of our faculty collaborations. One of the primary goals of the ETL is to be a place where faculty members can come to realize even ambitious research goals or immersive projects. In fall 2019, the ETL worked with Professor Willi Lempert of Anthropology to incorporate virtual reality cinema and highly interactive virtual reality environments into his coursework. The projects were quite successful and pioneered ETL cooperation with faculty researchers.
