Quick notes for the rest of the team or to quickly document some progress will go here from now on.

New ‘Asides’ Bar
Happy Boxing Day. ‘Shorts’ or ‘Asides’ or what I’ll call a ‘dev blog’ has been added to the sidebar instead of appearing in the main post section. Posters: just tag your post with the ‘Shorts’ category and it will go here. Keep it short!
WP 2.0 RC3
Just upgraded to the beta WordPress 2.0 RC3 on my laptop. It went fairly easily with some hacks. Will hold off on upgrading this site until WordPress hits 2.0 fully and K2–the ub3r WordPress template this site uses– supports it. Looks like 2.0 will be official very soon….
Live Archives
I’ve updated the Archives page with a really cool plug-in called Extended Live Archives. It allows for quick, thorough searches of all the posts in the blog without having to refresh the page. The content of this blog is meager now–but later, it could prove quite useful.
Windows Crash
There’s been a report that this website has crashed a windows box when viewing with internet explorer. If this happens–we are very sorry–please leave a comment here or email us:

We haven’t been able to reproduce the error with numerous Windows boxes.
Site Address
Stabilized…
The site is rather stable–and that’s where I’ll leave it until exams and papers are done.
To come:
-New, Flashy Header
-Updated Del.icio.us northern_bites tags.
-Media! Pictures! Movies!
-Much better protected section (probably a blog for the team’s own usage).
-CSS Style-switcher on the fly: Vader Theme access.
-Loads more sweet blogging from the Northern Bites team.
Any suggestions about the features/layout of the site, or reports that things are broken: Contact Us.
K2 Upgrade
Took K2, the style template of this WordPress site, up to Revision 125. Let me know if there are any bugs.
And we’re live…
Wheh. Finally, the Northern Bites 2006 Website/Blog is online. It took far too long–and I’m sure it’ll take a lot longer to get all the kinks out, pictures in, and customizations completed.
If the blog catches on, this will be a place for crazy research, incremental progress, and general flouting of our technical skills. All members of the team will have access, should they desire it, to explain our research to the world, to other teammates, and occasionally, to themselves.
4 Months, 5 Days, 14 Hours to the Robocup US Open 2006. It’s about time to finish the victory dances.
